The UusioUra event, held at Kaapelitehdas in Helsinki on September 23–24, attracted a record crowd. More than 5,000 visitors came to seek advice on employment, career change, and developing their skills.

The atmosphere was warm and inspiring. Participants appreciated the chance to meet dozens of employers and experts under one roof. Over 70 exhibitors presented diverse career, study, and entrepreneurship paths, and lively discussions about future opportunities took place at their stands.

The main stage program filled the hall. Among the speakers were Arman Alizad and Katja Ståhl, who inspired and encouraged visitors to make use of their skills and build new career paths. The workshops were also packed, with extra seats filling up quickly on both days.

Many visitors made use of the professional photographer available at the event and received stylish new photos for their CVs and LinkedIn profiles.

- It is wonderful to see that UusioUra truly met a need. Age discrimination in working life is a reality, which makes events like this important. We are proud to have been able to offer so many opportunities to jobseekers and career changers over the age of 45, says Minea Pyykönen, Director at Trade Union Pro.

Trade Union Pro organized the UusioUra event for the second time.

- The record number of visitors shows the importance and appeal of the event. Based on the feedback we received, both visitors and exhibitors found it highly valuable, Pyykönen adds.
