You can apply for the allowance online. The application requires logging in with Proplus credentials. The information you provide in the service (i.e., the connection) is protected. You must apply for a strike allowance within one month after receiving an e-mail from Pro about the matter (apply after the strike ends). Log into Proplus with your credentials. You can log in from here.
- Click on "Make an allowance application"
- Enter your shift in the application (select from the drop-down menu). You can receive an allowance for loss of earnings due to a work stoppage for the strike days when you have been on duty. The length of the strike day is the same as the length of your shift if you had been working. Fill in the information for each day in your application.
When applying, you need your membership number, social security number, and account number (in IBAN format, for example: FI1234567812345678).

If you do not see the "Apply for an allowance" section in the Proplus online service, you can apply for a strike allowance from here. The form works in a secure network connection.
Pro's board of directors decides on the strike allowance to be paid on a case-by-case basis. Tax is automatically deducted from the strike allowance. The tax assessor decides the tax percentage of the strike allowance.
Calculation of the 70 euro strike allowance: The allowance is tax-free up to 16 euros. Tax in accordance with Section 88 of the Income Tax Act and the tax administration's decision is levied on allowances of more than 16 euros. In net, the strike allowances leaves 51.10 euros per day. We collect the tax and account it to the Finnish Tax Administration.
Calculation of the 100 euro strike allowance: The allowance is tax-free up to 16 euros. Tax in accordance with Section 88 of the Income Tax Act and the tax administration's decision is levied on allowances of more than 16 euros. In net, 66.40 euros per day remain in hand from the strike allowance. We collect the tax and account it to the Finnish Tax Administration.
Calculation of the strike allowance of 125 euros: The allowance is tax-free up to 16 euros. Tax in accordance with Section 88 of the Income Tax Act and the tax administration's decision is levied on allowances of more than 16 euros. As a net, 75.95 euros per day remain in hand from the strike allowance. We collect the tax and account it to the Finnish Tax Administration.
Calculation of the strike allowance of 150 euros: The allowance is tax-free up to 16 euros. Tax in accordance with Section 88 of the Income Tax Act and the tax administration's decision is levied on allowances of more than 16 euros. As a net, 89.70 euros per day remain in hand from the strike allowance. We collect the tax and account it to the Finnish Tax Administration.
The strike allowance is paid after the strike ends. The application period is one month after the end of the strike.
The strike allowance is paid once a week. Remember to apply for strike allowance on Monday and you will receive it on Friday of the same week. If you apply on days other than Monday, you will receive the allowance on Friday of the following week.

You will not be paid unemployment benefits during the strike. If your employment ends during the strike and you become unemployed, you must register with the employment office as a job seeker in accordance with the normal procedure. An unemployed employee's right to unemployment allowance is normally determined according to the relevant rules.
During the strike, it is possible to receive income support from the local social welfare office, if the conditions for receiving income support are met. Livelihood support is the last form of income security. It can be obtained in situations where a person's or family's income and assets are not sufficient for necessary everyday expenses. When assessing the right to receive support, all available income of the family is taken into account.
